These pictures of Deb are beautiful. She was only in my life for a short time, but she made a huge impact, and I’m glad her legacy lives on through Elyn. Thank you for sharing!!
I’m loving seeing these early photos of Deb. Thank you for posting. She had so many aspects: artist, graphic designer, costume/set designer, green peace activist, nature lover, judo player, teacher, mother of beautiful Elyn.
So sorry to learn from this story that Deb Jayne passed away. She was my first mentor in Greenpeace in 1977 when she came to Seattle with another fine lady from Greenpeace Hawaii to help our fledgling group put together a walkathon to raise money for the Ohana Kai that was preparing to go out to find the Soviet or Japanese whaling fleet. Deb was kind, passionate, persistent and patient. Bruce Hoeft and I pulled off the walkathon in 6 weeks and a few weeks later I was on board the Greenpeace sister ship James Bay and stuck with the campaign to save the whales for the next 14 years.
